Dreamscape Chronicles
This series of abstract landscapes explores the liminal spaces between memory and dream, where reality bends and familiar elements dissolve into the ethereal. These works are inspired by places both visited in distant pasts and encountered in the shifting terrain of sleep—landscapes that exist only in fragments, barely grasped but deeply felt. Each painting embodies a place suspended in time, hovering at the edge of recognition, where the details blur into soft suggestion and the boundary between the conscious and unconscious fades. Using encaustic, cardboard, newspaper, pigment sticks, and gold foil, I build layers that mirror the complexity and fragility of memory. The tactile nature of these materials allows me to create surfaces that are both inviting and elusive, echoing the ephemeral quality of the places I evoke. Through color, texture, and form, I invite the viewer to step into these imagined worlds, to engage with the mystery of a place that is always just beyond reach.
